Thrashers take on Avalanche in Denver

The Atlanta Thrashers take on the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday at the Pepsi Center (9 pm ET, Altitude).

NHL Betting has the Avalanche as -180 moneyline favorites and the over/under total at 5.5.

Atlanta has a slight edge over the past 10 meetings, going 6-4. The last time the teams faced off was March 10 last season, when the Thrashers shut out the Avalanche 3-0. Colorado had been a -145 home favorite.

The Thrashers erased a two-goal deficit to defeat the Florida Panthers 4-2 on Saturday, as -120 favorites. The score went over the total of 5.5.

Maxim Afinogenov, Bryan Little, Niclas Bergfors, and Evander Kane scored in the win.

Chris Stewart potted the winner early in the second period, as the Avalanche defeated the Blues 5-2 on Monday night.

Colorado won as -130 home favorites, while the game played over the 5.5-goal total.

Atlanta is 25-24-8. Colorado is 33-19-6 and has won two straight games.

Colorado is 7-2 SU in its last 9 games at home.
