By admin | May 14, 2010

With the last match in the seven game series, history will be made, one way or the other. Both Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins are tied at 3-3. The competition will be fierce in Game 7 (7:00 pm ET, Versus), on Friday at TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts.

Philadelphia Flyers have stormed back to level the series after the Bruins jumped out to a 3-0 series lead. by one goal, four of the six games have been decided which suggests that these teams are evenly matched, with nothing much to differentiate.

In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, goalie Michael Leighton finished with 30 saves to lead Philadelphia to a Game 6 victory in his first career start in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Leighton made the lead stand up while Danny Briere and Mike Richards chipped goals in the first and second periods respectively. In the third period, Leighton made nine saves, at a time when Bruins were trying their best to defeat him and score goals.

“We’re blocking shots, we’re doing everything for each other, and we were helping each other out, talking and, even when (Boston) added a lot of clusters at our net. I thought we came back and kind of defended Leighton a lot. And when he needed to, he made the big saves” Richards said.

In Game 6, the Bruins did exhibit a lot more grit and passion despite the disappointing finish in Game 6. Goalie Tuukka Rask made scoring difficult by 25 saves. He even saved a penalty shot from Ville Leino.

Oddsmakers from various NHL betting websites have made the Bruins –125 money line favorites for Friday’s game against the Flyers. Current NHL Public Betting Information shows that 61% of more than 1,363 bets for this game have been placed on the Bruins -125.
