Montreal Canadiens would like to level the series against Philadelphia Flyers in Game 4 (3:00 pm ET, NBC) on Saturday at Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Flyers lead the series by 2-1.
For Philadelphia Flyers Losing to the Montreal Canadiens was quite disappointing for the team, especially for Daniel Carcillo. The Flyers have to get back to work after a 5-1 loss in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals. Philadelphia will be trying to take a 3-1 series lead back home on Monday for Game 5. When a linesman broke up a shoving match between the two late in the second period while the Canadiens led 3-0, by Michael Cammalleri’s actions bothered Carcillo.
“It’s hockey. You jaw a little bit out there, you know what, when you’re winning the game, its fun, so you try to enjoy it.” said Cammalleri, who scored the opening goal for Montreal on Thursday.
When Dominic Moore scored to make it 3-0 with 8:27 left in the second period, Philadelphia came out flat and outshot 28-13. The Flyers were overconfident and blamed themselves for the loss.
“I think we got what we deserved, It would be easy to sit back and say, ‘We were close’ if it was 2-1. But with a score like that in a game like that, I think questions have to be raised and answers looked for,” said Flyers captain Mike Richards.
Michael Cammalleri is the player to watch out. On Thursday night, he scored his 13th goal of this postseason. In his past five games, he has scored four goals, although, Philadelphia’s Simon Gagne might give him a good fight. In Game 3, Montreal defenseman Roman Hamrlik had a night to remember and earned the game’s first star for a two-assist, plus-four outing in a little more than 23 minutes of action.
