Chicago Blackhawks battle it out against the Nashville Predators on Monday in game six (9:00 pm ET, TSN) in Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, Tennessee. Chicago leads best-of-seven series, 3-2.

The Blackhawks will definitely look to close out the Predators. Patrick Kane’s dramatic shorthanded goal with 13.6 seconds remaining in regulation has saved them.

Goaltender Antti Niemi was good but on Saturday surrendered to the Nashville and Chicago is still without defenseman Kim Johnsson, whose presence could have made a huge difference.

Nashville had a devastating loss in Game 5 and certainly would love to bounce back. Martin Erat certainly looks promising and without their goal scoring leader Patric Hornqvist, they have shown remarkable amount of character.

The Predators have yet to score with the extra man in 21 chances this series. Eart certainly will be the key player who has scored four goals, the most of any player in this series on either team. Dan Hamhuis is expected to play on Monday.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made the Blackhawks –155 money line favorites for Monday’s game against the Predators. Current NHL Public Betting Information shows that 71% of more than 523 bets for this game have been placed on the Blackhawks -155.

The Chicago Blackhawks face the Nashville Predators in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday night (9:00 pm ET, TSN). The seventh-seeded Predators are looking for the first NHL playoff series win in franchise history, and are 6-6 all-time in the postseason at home.

For their recent success, the Hawks have become the most likeable team in the League. They also are one of the youngest with a refreshing and have an animated fan base.

After a Western Conference final run last season, it has been a very long time since Chicago team is seen excited and full of optimism. With 29 home wins for the Hawks, The United Center has been their happy hunting ground. The Hawks are top in their defense and also have a highly balanced scoring attack.

The Hawks are also one of the league’s top penalty killing teams. Jonathan Toews and John Madden are NHL’s best in the faceoff dot. Even though rookie Antti Niemi has never played a single second of NHL playoff hockey, he played fabulously this season for Chicago. For a team with Stanley Cup dreams in their minds, performance of veteran Cristobal Huet is quite crucial. As a team they should have enough faith on their goaltenders which will play a crucial role.

David Poile and head coach Barry Trotz are the main reason why the Predators are performing well despite being one of the lowest payrolls in the league and any superstars. Star power is what is lacking with the Preds but their performance is commendable and quite worthy too. With Shea Weber in the defense, without making any headlines, Preds defense is solid. Nashville has yet to win a playoff series. They need to improve their game plans and not just play for the sake of playing. This team has great potential, just need to nurture it more. They even are the least penalized team in the League

The NHL betting odds are certainly stacked against Nashville from advancing but you never know who comes out on the top.
